Concept and Manufacture
Transforming Marloes ten Bhömer's visionary footwear concepts Blackfoldedshoe, Beigefoldedshoe Greenmâchéshoe and Greymâchéshoe into wearable shoes has been a truly radical design and engineering challenge. All components of this shoe are custom produced by and in consultation of partners ranging from industrial manufacturers in Asia to artisans in the UK and the Netherlands. Technical development has been managed by Marloes ten Bhömer. These Special Edition Shoes are hand-made in the UK and is now available for purchase.
Terms of supply
These Terms and Conditions of Supply are the terms and conditions on which Marloes ten Bhömer (MtB) will supply Products listed on her website www.marloestenbhomer.com (the "Products") to you. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before ordering products from this Site. You should understand that by ordering any of the Products, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and if you do not accept these terms and conditions, you will not be able to order the Products.
Please note
All Products are hand made so may vary slightly in appearance from pieces you have seen in exhibitions or on this Site. MtB cannot guarantee true colour representation of photographs online.
Dispatch date
All shoes are produced by hand in the UK and are made to order. They are dispatched within 6-8 weeks from the time of your order. All dispatch dates are estimates only and, while MtB will endeavour to avoid delay, MtB will not be liable to you for any loss or damage arising from delay in delivery.
Exceptions
Dispatch time of heelpieces for Blackfoldedshoe and Beigefoldedshoe is 2-4 weeks.
Shipping
All prices include worldwide shipping. MtB ships via Fedex, DHL & Parcelforce shipping. Shipping times depend on the destination country. MtB aims to use the 1-2 days service for shipment to the UK and EU, the 1-4 days service for shipment to Canada and the USA and the 1-6 days service for shipment to the Rest of the World. MtB is not responsible for any delays in shipping. There may be a territorial restriction on MtB’s ability to deliver and MtB will inform you accordingly. When ordering from MtB, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the Products. You are responsible for notifying your local customs office of your purchase. Please be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
Tracking
A tracking number and a link to the relevant couriers website will be emailed to you along with your dispatch confirmation so that you may track the progress of your shipment.
Insurance
MtB insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to you. You will be asked to sign for any goods delivered at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you.
Payment
MtB accepts payment by PayPal, which is safe and easy to use. You don't have to be a member of PayPal and PayPal does not supply MtB with any information about your bank details. Other accepted types of payment include: cheque and direct transfer.
Prices
Prices exclude any local duties and sales taxes outside the UK for which a recipient may be liable. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. MtB has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.
Purchases and Procedure
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability of manufacturing capacity and materials. MtB reserves the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time. After placing your order, you will receive an e-mail from MtB acknowledging that she has received your order and that she has proceeded the manufacturing of the Product. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. MtB will confirm the acceptance of the order to you by sending you an e-mail that confirms that the Product has been dispatched (the Dispatch Confirmation). So please remember that your order is not confirmed until you have received an email confirmation from MtB.
In case you pay by PayPal and do not receive an email within one week acknowledging that she has received your order, please email Marloes on info@marloestenbhomer.com
Heels and heel top pieces
Please be careful when wearing high heels. Even though Blackfoldedshoe and Beigefoldedshoe have been thoroughly tested, they are high-heeled shoes and based on a totally new construction and high-heeled shoes require caution when wearing. Two extra pairs of heel top pieces that protect the Blackfoldedshoe and Beigefoldedshoe from wear on the underside of the heel will be included in your delivery. Please be careful when unscrewing the small screw. Too much force will break the screw. Subsequent pieces can be ordered from MtB.
General
You acknowledge that MtB cannot guarantee and therefore shall not be in any way responsible for the security or privacy of this Site and any information provided to or taken from this Site by you.

This Site may contain links to other Internet sites. MtB shall not be held liable for the availability or content of such sites or any article contained on or obtained through such sites. Any link to another site or any reference to information, products or services supplied by third parties, in no way imply that MtB has given its approval concerning those sites or articles. Any question or comment concerning any other site must be sent to that site's operator.
Variations
MtB may revise these Terms at any time by amending this page. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes MtB made, as they are binding to you.
Liability
Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall MtB be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage (including, without limitation whether for loss of profit, loss of business, lost data, viruses that may infect your computer, depletion of goodwill or otherwise), costs, expenses or other claims for economic loss (howsoever caused) which arise out of or in connection with the Contract or your use of this website generally.
Force Majeure
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a Contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Certificate
Every shoe is numbered and is delivered with a signed certificate of authenticity.
Law and Jurisdiction
The Contract will be governed by English Law. Any dispute arising from, or related to, such Contract shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
